This past Sunday, Freedom is Ringing — a 10-year-old Off-Track Thoroughbred lovingly known as a “War Horse” — set out on a new chapter with trainer Jamie Dice of Starry Nights Stables in Maryland.
Freedom came to Rocky’s last fall after the heartbreaking loss of his devoted owner. Her sister, Chrissy, reached out to us, wanting to honor that love and ensure Freedom would be safe and cared for. We were honored to welcome him into our family.
Before sending him off to training, we made sure to do a full set of X-rays — giving us peace of mind that Freedom is sound and ready for this next stage of life. He’s got heart, strength, and a story that deserves the happiest of endings.
We know he’ll thrive in the hands of someone as gentle and experienced as Jamie. This journey is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see where it leads.

Her owner could not care for her due to health issues and she was heading to auction. We intervened.
10 years old. 13 hand palomino pony.
Stella has been sent to trainer Jamie Dice at Starry Night Stables for training.

Meet Forrest – A Work in Progress with a Big Heart
Forrest is a 6-year-old mule who is still very much in training. He is green, learning, and trying — but he is not finished, not push-button, and not suitable for beginners or children.
Mules mature mentally and emotionally much slower than horses, and Forrest is right where he should be for his age. He is currently learning:
• Ground manners
• Consistency and routine
• Trust and confidence with people
• How to process new situations without pressure
Forrest needs patience, experienced handling, and time. He will test boundaries, ask questions, and sometimes say “not yet” — because that’s what mules do. With the right person, he will be incredibly loyal and thoughtful.
Forrest is best suited for:
• An experienced mule or equine person
• Someone who understands training takes months, not days
• A calm, consistent home that values progress over speed
He is not ready to be rushed.
He is not a beginner mule.
We are committed to doing right by Forrest — setting him up for success, not failure. If you’re willing to invest the time, earn his trust, and let him grow at his pace, Forrest has the potential to become an incredible partner.
